EATING OUT IN BALI - Selamat Menikmati !While food writers are constantly praising our restaurants, the diversity and quality of Niseko ’s cuisine scene is a prominent part of its appeal as a travel destination for many people around the world. Eating out will definitely be one of the highlights of your visit to Hokkaido. Local specialities include potatoes and seafood. Aside from truly spectacular Japanese food, there are a large number of restaurants that specialize in Italian, Korean, Indonesian, Thai, Nepalese and other culinary delights that will delight your pallet. The Bali of today boasts of many top-flight chefs. Just as many as can often b Crab House; live Mud Crabs as well as King Crabs, Lobsters and King Prawns, all grilled to order. Along the strip that is Tanjung Benoa. Many hotels are being extended with more rooms and pool villas being added. There are also many new projects along this magic stretch of white sand beach. In front of the Club Bali Mirage has appeared a Chinese restaurant. Chopsticks is its name and Cantonese seafood its specialty with live tanks around the walls. At the Aston Bali Resort is Giorgio, an Italian restaurant with terrace and inside air-con seating. Unusual offerings include a Goats Cheese Pasta with pine nuts and raisons and a risotto that is basil flavoured and comes with scallops, parmesan and truffles. TRADITIONAL BALINESE FOOD Real Balinese food is not readily available to tourists unless a Balinese family invites the tourist to a meal or he goes to a temple. Restaurants catering for tourists do not serve authentic Balinese dishes, nor do hotels. The reason is that there is too much preparation, large quantities have to be prepared and it has to be eaten when it is fresh. It is often spicy and very tasty. The Balinese traditionally used banana leaves as plates. Lawar Sate is made of sea fish or turtle meat, green coconut, spices, and brown sugar. It is the traditional food of Tabanan regency, but it can be found in all over Bali. Sate is usually cooked over charcoal made from dried coconut shells, on a small ceramic grille, which gives them a delicious smoky and slightly charred flavor. Babi Guling Signature restaurant di Mare has been transferred from the original Jimbaran Resort and upgraded into a fine Mediterranean experience, and offers possibly the best site in Bali for that perfect lunch, although preferably on a fine day as it is very open to the weather. Legian saw the Café Marzano from Seminyak quickly move into the well situated terrace café that was Cosy Corner. An instant success from day of opening and though smaller will probably even surpass their Jln. Kunti numbers.
